The Classic Cancel

GUARANTEE: Customer satisfaction is my primary objective. Satisfied customers return to this site, buy more and tell their friends. All items are guaranteed as genuine and as described. Major defects will be mentioned. For a stamp offered primarily for its cancellation, expect minor defects unless the stamp is noted as sound. Also expect minor faults on covers. Significant reductions, tears and missing pieces will be noted.

EXPERTIZATION: All items are sold as genuine, but should any item be proved otherwise by written opinion by any competent, responsible authority acceptable to seller, immediate refund of full purchase price will be made, providing that such claim is made in writing or by email within 7 days from date of opinion receipt.

Acceptable expert opinions will be The Philatelic Foundation in New York City and PSE in California. Buyers wishing expert opinion from the American Philatelic Expertizing Service (APEX) should first contact seller.
So long as buyer notifies seller within 7 days of item receipt of intent to seek expert written opinion, the matter will remain open "on extension" until such opinion is rendered.
Seller will not be responsible for any charges incurred by the buyer for expertization unless the opinion states the item is "not genuine", in which case seller will pay actual costs up to a maximum of $50.00. A "declined opinion" is not grounds for return of any item.

PAYMENT AND SHIPPING:

Illinois residents without a valid state resale certificate will be charged 9.00 percent sales tax on the purchase price.
Minimum shipping cost is $2.50 for up to 5 stamps. Add 25 cents for each additional stamp.
Minimum shipping cost for covers is $2.50 for the first card or cover plus 50 cents for each additional card or cover.
Orders combining stamps and covers will be billed at the higher applicable rate. All orders will be shipped in a stiff mailer envelope.
Cash, money order or personal check payable to John Valenti accepted for payment. (I do not have a d/b/a account and, therefore, cannot accept remittances payable to The Classic Cancel.)
For international customers, or any customer wishing to pay by credit card or PayPal, I offer payment via PayPal email invoice. Note: Buyer will be charged an additional 4 percent convenience fee (based upon the full cost of merchandise, shipping and optional postal insurance, and rounded up to the next whole dollar amount) to cover PayPal service charges.
Items will ship when payment clears. (Expect a one week shipping delay for items paid by personal check. Buyers unknown to seller should expect a slightly longer delay. An APS member, when number provided, will be treated as a known buyer.)
US postal insurance is available upon request at cost and is recommend for shipments over $50. Buyer assumes all risk for items shipped without insurance.
The Classic Cancel neither insures nor guarantees integrity of shipment to foreign destination, irrespective of shipment method. Buyer assumes all risks for shipment to foreign destination.
Buyer will be notified by email when items ship.

RETURNS: All items are returnable for any reason within 5 days of receipt. Buyer must Send eMail to notify seller if an item is being returned and assumes all risk of return. Shipment via insured mail is highly recommended. Upon receipt, seller will notify buyer and refund buyer's full purchase price for items returned in original condition. No refund will be given for items returned not in original condition.

No other party may use such images and description for any purpose without explicit permission of Seller. Seller, at his discretion, may use such images and descriptions for any purpose, including but not limited to publications, advertising and promotion, whether or not such scanned or described items remain the property of seller.
