5508 #U300, intact 1¢ entire, postmarked ALICE, TEXAS, 1895, sent to Hartford, Conn., where stamped "Postage Due for Forwarding 1 Cents" in purple, sent to Springfield, Mass, where 1¢ J22 applied and canceled by XF 3 in circle tying the stamp. $35
5328 #207, average, tied by grid killer of MONONGAHELA CITY, PA, 1882 postmark on intact cover to Pittsburgh, small edge faults, cover bearing a fine J3, SE, with XF SOTN strike of numeral 3 killer, not tied, possible precancel.

5043 #J26, fine, tied by purple NEW ULM, MINN. M.O.B. postmark and paying double 5c deficiency on intact cover from England (2 1/2p postage paid by GB #89x2 and #111), NEW YORK DUE 10 CENTS binocular mark and T 25 centimes (5 cent) deficiency mark.  Small cover fault at upper left corner.  An extremely scarce use of Money Order Business cancel on the 10 cent postage due. $95
5044 #J16, fine, tied by New York City PO double oval killer on cover from Peru bearing 2 copies of Peru #108 5c orange canceled by manuscript Otuzco postmark, back stamped Trujillo 9-MAY-90 and Payta 15-May-90. Otuzco is a small town in the mountainous region NW of the southern port town of Trujillo.  The cover traveled from there to the northern port of Payta, and from there north across the Isthmus of Panama to New York.  Blue crayon T 5 (one cent deficiency), stamped COLLECT POSTAGE 2 CENTS, double the deficiency for ship fee from the isthmus.  Tear and piece of cover front missing at right.  An interesting transit from a small Peruvian town to the eastern United States.

4973 #207, VF, SOTN star in circle killer, NORTH ISLEBORO, ME postmark (DPO Waldo County, 1854-1945) on intact Seaside House Resort corner cover (small corner fault at upper right) mailed to Greenville, Maine, where it was pencil marked Due 3 cts and a VF #J3 applied and canceled by XF strike of blue star in circle killer.  Fancy cancels of any kind on early postage due stamps are quite scarce.

4974 #210, fine, tied by XF strike of shaded star killer with FRYEBURG, ME, SEP 8, 1884 postmark (Oxford County, 1797-) on cover to Orange, NJ, where it was pencil marked Due 2¢ and a fine SE #J16 applied and canceled by cork killer. Cover reduced 5 mm at left. $30
4975 #279B on intact Frank M. Bailey & Co., Philatelist, Wells, Maine corner advertising cover to Mansfield, MA, where marked Due 2 and VF pair of #J38 applied and canceled by Mansfield 1896 postmark.  A scarce early stamp dealer advertising cover from small town.  Vertical cover fold at right affects nothing. $25
4976 #307 with #319 canceled by ABBOTT, MAINE, NOV 4, 1909 postmark (DLO Piscataquia County, 1825-1912) paying registry on corner advertising cover to Bangor, ME, pencil marked Due 2 cts with BANGOR precanceled #J39 applied, purple BANGOR, MAINE, REG. DIV. receiving postmark on reverse.

4978 #338, fine, canceled DAIGLE, MAINE, NOV 1, 1909 (DPO Aroostook County, 1899-1933, 4 scarcity) paying registry but lacking postage, on intact cover to Boston.  Cover received purple hand stamp POSTAGE DUE and blue crayon 2¢, #J39 applied and canceled by BOSTON, MASS. NP in double oval.  Cover reverse with purple BOSTON (North Postal Sta.) MASS.
