3950 #230, fine pair, tied by Washington, DC 1896 duplexed ellipse killers on Dept. of Agriculture Division of Entomology illustrated preprinted postal card to Portugal. The card is fine, with small faults.  Extremely scarce destination and a terrific usage of the one cent Columbian issue stamps. SOLD

3868 #179, fine, red paint cancel with matching red UNIVERSITY OF VA postmark on an XF intact cover to England, back stamped Sunderland 1879. A very scarce on-cover red color killer on this stamp.  Attractive Virginia cover.
