4060 #147, F-VF, on VF intact U82, canceled by clear strike of negative triangle fancy killer (Cole GET-41) of New York City, paying 6 cent NGU direct via Bremen, NOV 9, 1872.  This is a highly uncommon use of domestic NYC killer on foreign mail. According to the Weiss classification approach, this usage constitutes a new NYFM killer.  Very scarce and desirable. $85
3977 #UX1, fine, bearing a VF copy of #156 paying the UPU card rate to Germany. No postmark, stamp canceled by red NEW YORK JUL 15 exchange office mark. Card datelined Valejo 5 July 74 on reverse, probable California usage.
