with XF NOV 29 (1882) postmark on XF intact embossed corner
advertising cover. Cover bears a fancy magenta GOODYEAR RUBBER
MFG. CO. receiving stamp on front, picturing a rubber glove.

of blue 73 year date in hand carved, British style ellipse with
rimless JUNCTION CITY, KAN, SEP 13 (1873) postmark (Cole YD-25),
cover roughly opened at right, cover tears. Many consider this
killer to be the first ellipse killer used on U.S. mail.
Scarce and desirable despite the faults. |
