4986 #231, fine, SE at top, canceled by Boston, MA machine killer on XF intact illustrated advertising cover picturing a bottle of Rock-Eye Honey, "The Great French Remedy for Colds, Throat and Lung Troubles.  This remedy contains strictly pure barley malt rye whiskey, rock candy and honey."  Nice patent medicine advertising item. SOLD
4815 #UX3, VF, canceled by an XF strike of 5 point star killer with poor Cincinnati, OH postmark. Back has nice printed advertisement for HALL'S SAFE and LOCK CO. promising a $1000 bounty to anyone who proves that one of their safes has ever been burglarized.  Scarce early advertising on postal. $25

4120 #279, 2 copies, Tuscaloosa, ALA. 1899 postmark and ellipse killer tie to VF intact two color gun advertising cover for Allen & Jemison Co., picturing two detailed images of different Smith & Wesson revolvers ejecting spent shells, front and back.  Front pictures a sepia image of the store.  Back image also includes a pump shotgun.  Cover lists extensive goods available: pistol cartridges, ammunition, paints, oils, agricultural implements and machinery, wagons, buggies, carriages, harness, stoves, tinware, scales, mowers, reapers, sash doors, blinds, glass, putty, grates, mantels, lumber, lime, blasting powder, dynamite.  An absolutely gorgeous gun cover. 3859 #210, two fine copies, target killers, light WARM SPRINGS, VA (Bath County, 1877-) postmark and purple DUE 2 and matching JUN16, 1886 date stamp with #J16 not tied on intact advertising cover to Chicago for the warm sulphur springs Ladies' Bath, with all over yellow illustration of the bath.
