#65, fine, fault at left bottom, tied by a VF+
strike of blue BANKS' DIVISION postmark on F-VF intact cover to
Salem, MA. This postmark is typically not this well struck.
The stamp shows some paper adherence under a few perfs, strong
evidence of having been removed from another envelope and reused on
this cover. Nevertheless, a nice use of this Civil War
period military postmark. |
