4688 #11A vertical pair, fine, each stamp canceled by 2 crossed strikes of PAID hand stamp, just tied on FLS postmarked CUBA, N. York, AUG 4 (1855), plated 40,50L3, vertical file fold affects bottom stamp. SOLD

4692 #26, VF, tied by Philadelphia, PA postmark on fine 1857 commercial FLS to New York, where rated as double weight letter and stamped DUE 3. Blue Philadelphia forwarder's oval hand stamp at bottom left.

4701 #11A, fine, tied by VF NEW-YORK, JUN 9 (1853) postmark on commercial FLS to Ohio. Stamp affixed to FLS prior to cancel by an embossing grid device, causing postmark to break on embossment. Unusual. SOLD
