Cover formerly in the Dr. Chase collection, his notes on reverse, plated 95R4, late 1855 printing, clearly showing the "loop" at upper left. Nice position example. $60
4896 #11, fine, tied by VF+ SOTN strike of unusual 10 bar killer in circle hand carved killer on VF intact cover canceled SOUTH LIVONIA, NY (Livingston County DPO 1832-1937), JUNE 25 postmark. Contains personal letter datelined 1856.  Simpson's list a small 13-bar circular grid for this town. $45
4599 #11A, fine, 3 clear margins, single line recut in UL triangle and 2 right lines recut, canceled by a superb SOTN strike of 5 point star with center circle killer (S-E ST-D 18), red CHELSEA, Mass. postmark on intact small cover.

3723 #11, VF 4 margin copy, plated 97L6, just in at BL, tied by an XF strike of red INVERNESS, NY postmark (DLO Livingston County, 1853-62, Helbock 4, early use) on VF unreduced cover to Canton, IL. Unusual "Paid 38" manuscript, probably a box number.  A cover with great eye appeal. SOLD

1827 #14, pen cancelled, on fine embossed ladies cover bearing superb strike of orange red Strawberry Valley, California (Yuba County, 1855-present) postmark (Simpson rarity 7). Four-margin stamp with small nick and small cover fault at upper right.  An extremely eye-catching cover.
